Poems from the Clothes Line

THE WHITE LADY’S DREAM
The rain ribbons down the cold window pane
As the White Lady cries in her dreams
The stars twinkle high
In a dark midnight sky
As the White Lady cries in her dreams
In her dreams she is running through a crisp green lea
Pursued by the love of her life.
Where the White Lady goes
The Lord only knows
Why the White Lady weeps in her dreams.
Forgive me my Lord for I know I have failed
Is the White Lady’s mournful lament.
Please give me a sign
My Father divine
Is the White Lady’s cry in her sleep.
She believes she has failed of the vows she did make
In dreaming a vital taboo
But her tears are wiped clean
By a touch in her dream
And the White Lady smiles in her sleep.
As the White Lady’s lover ceases His chase
He is wrapped in a shimmering glow.
He knows He’s the one
From above He has come
And the White Lady smiles in her dreams.
The rain stops its run down the window
As the White Lady smiles in her sleep.
Once again she feels safe
She has realised her Faith
And the White Lady smiles in her dreams.
WONDERLAND
A tiny flower struggles
To survive against
Natures elements.
The sleet and snow,
The wind and rain,
Batter it to and fro.
First bending her
To kiss the Earth
Then lifting her up
To pray to Heaven
For life against
Nature’s furies.
Her precious petals, bruised
To a tender translucency
In God’s morning light.
By the harshness
Of the night’s hail
Surviving
To greet another morning
In the Lord’s wonderland
Meeting Place ( song, unfinished)
There’s a place
Where the hills and valleys meet.
And that place is where the music
Sounds so sweet.
Time has been suspended
Until Your love unites us all.
And that place is where our
Last breath will fall
There’s a time to laugh
A time to cry
And time for us to love.
There’s time for us
To feel the pain
And remember what we’ve done.
But once the pain is
Felt and gone
And we remember from where we’ve come
Our souls rejoice as God’s great gift
A chance to start anew.
