Poems from the Clothes Line
JERUSALEM!
Weep for a New Jerusalem
I weep for you Jerusalem
Your walls will fall like broken souls
You've fought and died Jerusalem
You've lost the way Jerusalem
You are the key Jerusalem
The seed of David's throne.
But fear thee not Jerusalem
Your broken walls will mend
The Promise is fulfilled
One gleaming foot sets
On the Mount
A roar will rend the air
Victory!
The time is near Jerusalem
Messiah's near Jerusalem
He'll bring ye forth Jerusalem
Arise a new Jerusalem....

Promised Land
Oh Jerusalem, eternal city
You, the broken hear of man
their righteous home, Oh Canaan
The remnant bleeds for you.
Zion, lost Zion
Where bitter flows the water's course
Bought by the blood of the remnant
Who wait for Him.
Oh Jerusalem, your veil of tears
The shroud of liberty
From Zion's Hill
The Remnant will weep
And there, there shall make their stand.
For the Christ Bride, beloved Jerusalem
They will cry for God's seal
They will beg
He remember His covenant
Oh proud Israel
Why do you fight to win
Jerusalem?
Shedding the blood of the Chosen?
The promised land was vowed to you
It will be yours again.
